Happy early Fall everyone!!
Can you tell by my title I'm just a tad anxious to get into the fall and Holiday season? That's me! I start thinking about Christmas in May and by mid August I'm ready for pumpkins and flannel shirts. This summer was a busy one for me with vacations, newborn sessions and of course, photographing my first birth! I also took a postpartum doula training and will be fully certified by mid October to help mamas at home with many things after the birth of their baby. Some moms need the extra help because their partners need to go right back to work or both parents are just exhausted and both need the extra hands. I can assist with breastfeeding support, finding resources, light housework, emotional support, meal prep etc.

Back to the Fall! I'm super excited for my first fall newborn coming up soon. I love the coloring of fall and just the entire vibe in the air. My daughter Lizzy and I are in planning mode at the moment with our big deal sessions coming up very soon. First one being our Christmas Tree farm sessions. I will be holding these at The Fathers Daughter Tree farm in South Kingstown this year. It's a beautiful farm and the owners seem so wonderful. I held these in Lincoln last November and the uphill walk to wear the good trees were was just absolutely too much. I definitely want to make all of my sessions as easy and most enjoyable for all of my families. Our second big deal this year is our first ever Santa mini sessions that'll be held in Smithfield. I have a wonderful Santa and Mrs Claus booked and ready to go as well as a very charming, historic house to hold them in. I'll be serving hot cocoa and we'll have Christmas music playing. I will also be holding Christmas minis in the mobile studio with backdrop and setup. Usually my families with super little ones like these best. I have a session for everyone's taste and cannot wait for all the fun.
Again, back to fall!! haha. Fall is my most popular session for outdoor family sessions. I have a lot of families that'll use these for Christmas cards or to make canvas or framed prints for their walls. With any of my sessions I'll be offering holiday greeting cards as ad ons as well.
Between newborns, 1st birthdays, Outdoor family sessions and all of my Christmas minis I will be one super busy mama. Make sure to contact me as soon as possible if you know you'd like to book a session or any kind with me over the next few months!
As I write this my pool is currently draining and I just put the dog's little pool away. There is always a sadness leaving the summer behind because vacation for the kids is over. Sports, homework and part time jobs take up most of their days The nights are so peaceful by the fire. We invested in some hammock swings this year and they are just, I don't know, lovely. Don't know how I'll feel when I have to put those away for the winter but the change of seasons always makes me happy.
